At Parentheses, we recognise the 3Cs to having an empowering birth.

Childbirth is a sacred moment in every mother’s life. According to Namrita Bendapudi, the Lamaze Childbirth Masterclass Coach with Parentheses Academy, the 3Cs to having an empowering birth are:

CALM

We learn to stay calm by using relaxation techniques

CONNECT

Connect with your body.
Which means listen to your body, because your body is doing the work in guiding baby out.

COACH

Yes, nature will take its course but there are birthing skills that can be learnt, so that you
know what to expect and what to do during labour.

In our Lamaze Childbirth Masterclass, both husband and wife will learn to understand the process of labour, how to manage pain using natural methods, breathing techniques, labour positions, how to write a birth plan and how the husband can support in the labour room.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to use coping techniques during early and active labour, to help minimise discomfort
• 6 practices that help support a healthy birth
• Breathing techniques during labour
• Relaxation skills suitable for early labour
• Comfort techniques that help minimise active labour discomfort
• How to cope with back pain while encouraging baby to turn.
• How to plan for transition with effective labour strategies
• The top positions for pushing that open the pelvis and shorten the pushing time
• What your birthing partner (daddies!) can do in the labour room to assist in your labour
