This masterclass is for couples expecting their first child and parents with babies below the age of two.

These series intend to provide a platform for parents to identifying the practical aspects of what can be expected in the first two year as parents, for example, should my child be speaking by 1 year old or how can I bond with my baby if he only drinks, sleep and cry? Each topic targets to equip parents with skills, knowledge and confidence to adjust to the different changes when baby arrives.
This programme has been developed based on evidence and practice known to be effective in supporting the adjustment period of first-time parents.

What sort of parents will we be? Let’s look at importance of examining our history of parenting and the changes about to take place.
Apart from breastfeeding and baby wearing, how else can we create a secure attachment with out babies. A secure attachment is a foundation to healthy development. How do we prepare ourselves to provide a secure base for our babies?

Siew Ju Li is the Director and Consultant at SEED Connections with expertise in the area of child and education psychology, parenting and play therapy. She provides mental health support for parents, teachers, children and the community through consultation, play therapy and trainings.
She regularly speaks at workshops and conferences for parents, teachers and students and has been invited for various media engagements with BFM, NTV7, TV9, on topics pertaining to children’s development.
Her passion is to see children develop holistically and desires to encourage and empower parents, teachers and the community to promote healthy psychological development for children.
Ju Li is currently doing her Doctoral research on preventive measures for childhood anxiety at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya. Ju Li is also a mommy to three school going children, and thus understands the joy and challenges of modern parenting.
